Executive Director

Mr. Robert Noland

Mr. Robert Noland has been hired to lead the Kansas Family Policy Council as our Executive Director beginning August 1, 2011. Mr. Noland brings a wealth of experience in policy issues and a true love for Christ and the state of Kansas.

Background

Robert grew up in Cosby, Missouri (near St. Joseph) and graduated from Maysville High School in 1989.  He then attended college at The University of Kansas where, in 1994, he completed bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Psychology.

During his last semester at KU he had the great fortune to serve as an intern for then-State Senator Todd Tiahrt.  Tiahrt went on to run for Congress in the summer of 1994 and asked Robert to work on his campaign.  In January of 1995, Robert began his career as part of Congressman Tiahrt’s staff.  For the next 16 years, he worked for Tiahrt in Wichita and Washington, DC serving in roles including: Caseworker, Legislative Assistant and Deputy District Director until he was named District Director in 2000.  Robert served in that role leading and managing the Congressman’s District office until December of 2010.  Robert also managed Tiahrt’s reelection campaign in 2008 and was named Senior Advisor to Tiahrt in his US Senate race.

In 2004, Robert earned a Masters Degree in Public Administration from The Hugo Wall School at Wichita State University.  Robert has attended church at Central Christian Church in Wichita since 2000 and is currently serving his second term as an elder there.  He met his wife Amy at Central Christian Church and they were married in 2003.  Amy works part-time at KSGL AM 900 in Wichita which is owned and operated by her family. Robert and Amy have one son, Robert Andrew and they live in northeast Wichita.
